Murder at Cafe Noir

The most popular mystery dinner show in the country, Murder at Cafe Noir has enjoyed weekly productions coast to coast since its premiere in 1989. This forties detective story come to life features Rick Archer, P.I., out to find a curvaceous runaway on the forgotten island of Mustique, a place stuck in a black and white era. The owner of the Cafe Noir has washed ashore, murdered, and Rick's quarry was the last person seen with him. He employs his hard boiled talents to find the killer. Was it the French madame and club manager, the voodoo priestess, the shyster British attorney, the black marketeer or the femme fatale? The audience votes twice on what they want Rick to do next and these decisions change the flow of this comic tribute to the Bogart era.

Performances: Sam & Rosco's @ the Arbor Connection (August 13, August 20) and Olive Tree (August 7, August 14).

Out of Sight... Out of Murder

"What a really fun show. I have seen almost every CAST production and this one is the best yet. Every actor did a fine job with a storyline that is just different enough, with just enough twists, to make it both unique and thoroughly enjoyable. If you haven't reserved your tickets yet, do so now. You won't want to miss this one!!"

"I love to attend the plays of C.A.S.T, the latest being Out Of Sight... Out of Murder. The food at The Arbor Connection in Douglasville is delicious and the atmosphere is "romantic" and comfortable. Do you want to "let your hair down" and learn to laugh with yourself and others as the performers weave this comedy mystery story? Plays witih CAST fulfill that need. Humor is indeed the highest level of intelligence. The simplicity of the set and the development of character through dress, physical movements, and accents allowed me to feel as if I personally knew each individual performer. I felt as though I lived in the mansion where authors develop their murderous plots. The sound effects were effective and laughable as the fast action continued. I love the way the actors come around to the tables to welcome you and introduce themselves in character as you arrive to the play. Also during the performance, the audience is an active part of the on-going plot. The plays always have a "surprise" ending much to the delight of the audience. I plan to attend the Olive Tree in Villa Rica for their next performance. I can't wait!!!!!"
